Booking Terms and Conditions

Rae’s Island

Welcome to Rae’s Island! We offer ticketed admission to our Soft Play Centre and Café, as well as private hire for special events. These Terms form the agreement between Rae’s Island and yourself, the individual making a booking. Please read them carefully—by using our services, you agree to the Terms and Conditions.

1. When These Terms Apply
These terms apply when:
(a) you make a booking through our website and complete the checkout; or
(b) we confirm your private booking in writing via email.

 

2. Our Services
We provide access to our Soft Play and Café (the Services) subject to the following Terms and Conditions.

Age & Supervision

  1. Rae’s Island is designed for children aged 0–5 years.

  2. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  3. One adult is included per child ticket; extra adults will be charged.

  4. Adults must remain on-site and actively supervise their children.

Booking & Entry

  1. All visits must be pre-booked online (or confirmed via email for private bookings)

  2. Session days and times:

    1. Tuesday to Sunday

    2. First session 9:30AM

    3. Last session 4:00PM

  3. Session Length: 1.5 Hours

  4. You will receive a confirmation email once your booking has been made.

  5. Please arrive and leave within your allocated session time.

Cancellations & Changes

  • General admission tickets are non-refundable.

  • No rescheduling is permitted unless we agree under exceptional circumstances.

Rules While Visiting

  1. Shoes off in the play and seated area socks on.

  2. Keep personal belongings in designated areas.

  3. Unwell children must not enter.

  4. Report accidents to staff immediately.

  5. Staff may refuse entry or ask visitors to leave for safety or behavioural concerns

 

3. Food & Drink

  1. We serve a range of refreshments and meals —outside food is not permitted except:

    1. baby food/formula

    2. pre-approved allergy/dietary needs

    3. birthday cakes for private hire

  2. Food/drinks must only be consumed in the café seated area—not in the play area.

 

4. Photography

  1. You may take photos of your child/children only.

  2. No photos of other children or filming for commercial purposes.

 

5. Private Hire & Parties

  1. Bronze parties are non-exclusive; Silver and Gold include private hire.

  2. Party duration includes play and food time, as outlined per package.

  3. You may arrive 30 minutes before for set-up and must vacate the venue promptly at the end of your booking to avoid overtime charges.

  4. Decorations must follow Rae’s Island guidelines (no confetti and glitter). Must get all decoration pre-approved.

  5. Rae’s Island is designed for children aged 0–5; please ask if you plan to include older children.

  6. You must exit the venue on time; overtime fees apply. (£10 for every 30minutes)

5.1 Cancellations of party bookings.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your party slot.

  • If you need to cancel your booking, we kindly ask for at least 14 days’ notice. In this case, we can transfer your deposit to a future party date (subject to availability).

  • Cancellations made with less than 14 days' notice will result in the loss of your deposit.

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the party date, the full party balance will still be payable.

  • In the unlikely event Rae’s Island must cancel your party (e.g. due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances), you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

 

6. Liability & Safety

  1. You are responsible for supervising your children.

  2. We are not liable for lost items or injuries from misuse of equipment.

  3. Personal belongings are brought at your own risk.

 

7. Cancellation by Rae’s Island

  1. We may cancel or close due to events beyond our control (e.g. emergencies).

  2. If this happens, we’ll offer a new date or a refund.

 

8. Final Notes

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
